North Carolina's Senator

Cheri Beasley

Donate

Cheri Beasley has devoted her life to public service and to the people of North Carolina. She began her career as a public defender in Fayetteville and then won her first election to be a district judge, as judicial seats are elected offices in her state. Cheri has gone on to be elected to the North Carolina Court of Appeals as well as to the state Supreme Court as an Associate Justice, and in 2019, Cheri became the first Black woman to serve as Chief Justice of the North Carolina Supreme Court.

Cheri is running for Senate to protect voting rights, to make our criminal legal system more just, and to create an economy that works for all. This is a competitive open-seat Senate pickup opportunity in a swing state and will be one of the most expensive races this cycle, so Cheri needs all the support we can provide.
