Since January of 2007, U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown has been a champion of middle-class families in the Senate. A lifelong Ohioan, Senator Sherrod Brown has spent his career fighting for the Dignity of Work — a concept inspired by the work and writings of Pope Leo XIII and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. It’s the belief that hard work should pay off for everyone, no matter who you are, where you live, or what kind of work you do. He serves as Chairman of the Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee, where he played an instrumental role in passing the historic Wall Street reform law that established new consumer protections, created the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and reined in big banks.
