DonateChris Deluzio is running to keep PA-17 blue and expand the Progressive Caucus, in this open seat in the northwestern Pittsburgh suburbs. Chris is a Pittsburgh-area native, Iraq War veteran, and voting rights attorney. He currently is working to protect the rights of all Americans to vote and ensure fair elections as the policy director at Pitt Cyber, as well as the Brennan Center for Justice on the Voting Rights and Election Security teams. In Congress, Chris wants to be a strong supporter of the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act and the Freedom to Vote Act, as well as a voice for better jobs and increased opportunities for all, while defending union, worker, and women’s rights. He also knows that our democracy is in peril and that we need bold action to strengthen and protect it. This newly redrawn district is a bit bluer, with a more diverse electorate after redistricting, making it a Biden +6 district that Democrats have to hold in order to maintain control of the House.
